Work that engages, not only on a visual level, but also on a disruptive thought-provoking level. That’s why I love Banksy as an artist. His work is not only visually amazing, but it hits you like a hammer and makes you think and question everything about yourself.
I have always been drawn to storytelling and knew that I had a talent for it. Right from being a little boy, all I wanted to do was create stories and share them. As I grew up, I realised it was the industry that I could truly be myself in, and as a result, I followed a creative path in life.
As someone who often thrives in a group work environment, I have had to adapt considerably. Mainly in my confidence related to my ideas. Whereas before I could shout out to the team, ‘What do you think of this? Does this make sense?’ Now I have had to learn to rely on my judgement. I am still growing in this sense, but I think in the long run, it is making me a better creative.
The sense of family, focus on teamwork and our tight knit culture.
The team! By far the team. I have often found that this industry can carry with it, some major egos. Egos that can impede making truly creative and engaging work. At FOTW, egos are non-existent. Everyone is a team player, and everyone wants to create the best work possible, for the sole reason of making the best work possible.
“Neither! A pen and paper: It eliminate’s the chance of a disconnect between getting the ideas from your head and out into the world!“
I am constantly trying to learn. Constantly doing online tutorials in areas that I don’t understand, but with a bit of knowledge could make me that much stronger as a Creative. Over the lockdown period, I have been trying to improve my illustration skills, something that has already come in handy on recent projects.
Neither! A pen and paper: It eliminate’s the chance of a disconnect between getting the ideas from your head and out into the world!
It’s between the Lion King and Fight Club. I can’t choose a winner!!
Never stop learning. There is always more to know. I try to learn something new every day.
